Julie has a tremendous passion for the game of basketball  but she knows what it takes to be the best. Julie is a very competitive person, a trait she developed from always being the smallest player on the court and needing to prove to others that she belonged.

Dealing with doubters her whole life, it has helped her become a tough minded person.   She always lives by the adage: If you want something in life you go after it with all you have.
Besides basketball, Julie always puts others before herself.  She is fun-loving, ambitious, and courageous. She is who she is today because of great family and friends who d and supported her.  Julie's family has always been her strength.  Not to mention the countless days and nights Julie spent in the gym believing in herself and working to be her best.
For those of you who dont know Julie, she is a humble person but has a lot of confidence in her ability- because at 5’3,  she knew she must have a mentality that nothing could stop her in achieving her goals. Julie does not back down from anyone and all of you who have played against and with her know that she'll give her all throughout each game and practice.  A self-professes 'gym rat,; Julie's refuge is the court, and she wants to share what she has learned with young players.
Julie is a former Catholic Central High School student-athlete,  where she learned not to  make excuses and pursue her dreams.  From the first day she arrived at CCHS, head girl's basketball coach and long-time friend, Christine LaBombard supported and believed in Julie.  One of Julie's proudest achievements came in December 2006 when her jersey No. 13 was retired to the Catholic High rafters.

Julie continued her successful basketball career at Syracuse University, where she played from 2000-2004.  She currently holds several SU records including:

1. Points (1,605)

2. Assist (574)

3. Three-pointers made (229)

4. Free throws made (348)

5. Minutes played (3,964)

Additionally, she received Big East second team and Big East third team (twice) honors.  Julie and SU men's basketball great Sherman Douglas are the only two SU players- men’s or women’s to finish their careers with 1,600 points and 500 assists.  Syracuse Ms Hustle team award (twice) honors, given the Most Dedication to the SU program award and team captain both her junior and senior year.  Became the first SU women's player ever to have consecutive games with 30 plus points (twice, 35 vs. Binghamton, 30 vs. UMass and 36 vs. Seton Hall, 31 vs. Miami).  Ranks 5th all-time at SU Field Goals Made (514) and 7th in Steals (202).

Participated  in try-outs for the USA Basketball World Championship Young Women's Team in 2002 and was invited to represent Syracuse University for the Big East All-Star tour, Germany 2001.

Even though Julie has received many individual accolades, the most important thing to her are the great friendships she made throughout her four-years at Syracuse.
Her hopes are that one day a player, who has demonstrated hard work and dedication to the SU program  will eventually break all her SU records.

When her college career ended, Julie went on to play professional ball in Puerto Rico, as well as with the NWBL San Jose Spiders and the WNBA'S Chicago Sky.  She is currently in her second year playing for the Ceyhan Spor Club in Turkey, while her first year was with Botas Spor Club in Adana, Turkey.

All the while, Julie continues to learn and get better with her experienceses at the professional level, where she plans to play for a very long time.

Julie is ready for any and every challenge that is thrown her way.  Because of her character and hard work she can touch peoples' lives in a positive, and loving way.
